The MGM Resorts offer free self-parking to anyone for the first hour, and Nevada residents get 3 hours of self parking for free. This is done to encourage loyalty to a brand of hotel, so you can build up more reward points and get more perks.
You’ll also see free parking as a benefit of achieving a certain level is the hotel’s or hotel chain’s rewards membership. For example, its common to see Nevada residents get free parking for a few hours to encourage locals to come to events or restaurants on the Strip. Most hotels on the Strip offer free parking in a limited capacity or to particular people. At those times, hotel guests receive free parking privileges, while visitors will pay $15. The only exception to this is on days with major events at Tropicana or at neighboring T-Mobile Arena or MGM Grand Garden Arena. The Tropicana has free self-parking in lots 3 and 5 for all types of guests. While they have valet parking, there is a charge. Self parking at Circus Circus is free to everyone. Use Mel Torme Way, which runs along the back of the hotel, to access self parking here, and Siren’s Cove Blvd to access valet parking at TI.
The TI or Treasure Island free parking includes both Self and valet parking options for both registered guests or anyone visiting the resort.
